I have used flax about 200g of 16/2 and needles 3.0
It is so soft and cosy and I really recommend you to use flax in your next project!!

Flax is the same as linen. In English, we use a different word for the plant than for the fabric made out of it, but a lot of other languages use just one. Like Russian. My diss involves a woman who oversaw the growing of a lot of flax on her estate, and its processing into thread, and then weaving and knitting. Never thought I'd know so many words for different kinds of barns in Russian, never mind all the words for the different steps involved in processing flax, which I don't even know in English...

Anyway - what a great idea to knit lace in linen. Has anyone else done this lately, also? I'd like to hear more, Marianne, if you're willing to tell us...
