I used Alpaca with a Twist Fino for most of the body. And I LOVE IT. I had been contemplating gifting it, but I don't think I could now. I have some more pictures and talk at my other blog.
The pale blue contrast works really well: it's the sort of thing I always hesitate to do in case the stripe is too narrow or too wide and you can't tell until it's all finished, but it's worked here. It's very traditional too: Shetland shawls often had one or more contrast colours at the edge. I expect they did it because they ran out of yarn too :)
